The months of spring and summer are only around the corner, with the promise of sunshine and better times. Whether you’ve already planned a summer of fun, or you haven’t even thought about it yet, it’s definitely time you considered your wardrobe choices. With a huge resurgence of all things retro, it’s no surprise that our favourite styles include ones that were popular in the 80s and 90s, as the designs make a bold entrance back into the fashion world.

For SS19, we’re taking you back to the era of Ibiza’s heydays, when things were simpler and fashion made a unique statement. Influenced by Ibiza’s opening parties of the 90s, iconic musicians like Liam Gallagher and styles including bleached denim and bold prints; here is some inspiration for your spring/summer wardrobe from our Paradiso trend edit, from 80s casual clothing to Club Paradiso 90s styles.

Retro print revival

It’s no secret that retro is in; some of the most popular styles from decades gone by are making a strong return. While you could raid your dad’s wardrobe, it’s better to invest in new styles with a retro twist; that’s why our Club Paradiso collection is the perfect solution for your seasonal wardrobe upgrade.

Prints in particular are having their moment in the spotlight; think abstract print shirts like the Kunsthaus shirt, as seen above. With a paint stroke inspired pattern, it’s the perfect 90s-inspired style.

Stripes have been a popular choice, bringing a more contemporary feel to retro styling. The versatile nature of stripes mean they can be worn casually; like our Cole t-shirt.

Or, if you’re looking for something a little smarter, wear a short sleeved stripe shirt. Our Requiem shirt can be worn its own, or styled with something underneath for a unique look.

80s and 90s styles brought into the present

There are many styles that you might not even realise are retro; the parka jacket was a huge influence, becoming popular in the 60s and sticking around ever since; often worn by the Gallagher brothers during Oasis’ peak years.

Our Tourist parka jacket is the perfect way to bring in some of that retro styling to a modern wardrobe. With technical and practical features and a bold yellow shade, the jacket has a raglan sleeve design and contrasting drawcords.

Similarly, the Harrington jacket was a style that emerged in the 1960s and continued to be a popular choice over the next few decades. With a retro check pattern on the inner lining, our Repton Harrington jacket has traditional elasticated cuffs and waistband, with a simple outline logo on the chest.

Classic summer styles

It wouldn’t be a summer wardrobe without some of the staples; logo tees and shorts. Stylish basics that every wardrobe needs, look for styles that have something retro about them. For example, our Ladeem t-shirt has features a palm tree print and wide collar and regular fit for a simple but paradise, 90s-inspired style.
